Rooted in Authenticity.

The AZ Therapy Approach

I’m a relational therapist, which means the connection we build matters. I'm deeply committed to creating a trusting, safe therapeutic relationship, as I believe this foundation makes sustainable change possible. My approach is warm, direct, holistic and collaborative. I bring my authenticity into the room: our sessions are conversational, we may even laugh a little, and we'll always focus on the issues that truly matter. You can expect me to listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and provide guidance without judgment. My goal is to ensure you feel understood, supported, and empowered to create a life that you feel proud of.

I won’t rush you into change—but I also won’t let you stay stuck.

Rather than just managing symptoms, we’ll look at the bigger picture:

  • your patterns

  • your relationships (including the one with yourself)

  • what you’ve been carrying— and what you’re ready to shift

Insight is valuable, but real changes happens when it’s applied in daily life. Together, we will blend self-awareness with practical, real-world action to create realistic, meaningful growth.

Whether someone is new to therapy or very experienced, Allison is the go-to for busy brains seeking clarity, for people ready to explore their authentic selves, and for those learning to sit with discomfort in order to grow.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)- helps notice and accept thoughts and feelings without getting stuck in them, and take meaningful action aligned with what matters most

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)- supports gently facing anxiety or obsessive-compulsive challenges and gradually reducing their impact

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)- helps recognize unhelpful thought patterns and develop more balanced, flexible ways of thinking

I’m a licensed psychotherapist with over a decade of experience. After graduating from New York University, I worked in New York City and Denver, Colorado in schools, group practices, and several non-traditional clinical settings. In recent years, I’ve focused on individual therapy, helping clients navigate life transitions, relationships, and self-discovery.

Drawing on the most meaningful parts of my career, I opened AZ Therapy to offer a uniquely individualized therapeutic process. I'm passionate about supporting people as they understand their internal landscape to create a roadmap for realistic, meaningful change.

My clinical approach is a blend of evidence-based modalities tailored to each person’s needs. I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy within a framework guided by social work values including empowerment, compassion, and the importance of human relationships. This combination allows me to provide structured, goal-oriented treatment while honoring the dignity of each person I work with.

“Allison is a profoundly skilled, empathetic and helpful therapist. She is so intuitive with what she does because it clearly matters a lot to her. If you want an environment where you feel truly safe to be vulnerable and open so that you can have the most productive sessions and grow, I can’t recommend her highly enough!!”
